71 ble connection therewith are those good works that flow from faith. For believers are redeemed from the curse of the law that they should serve God in newness of spirit & be a peculiar people, to the praise of him, also hat called them out of darkness into his marvelous light.

 Having then laid the foundation of acceptable worship, in a heart renewed after the image of God, by repentence, faith & evangelical obedience, we now proceed to mention, that worship that is commanded both by the moral & evangelical Law.
 1. Prayer is a moral duty. Since we depend on God for all that we are or need or hope for, nature teaches us the duty of acknowledg.g God, in all our Ways & in all our Mercies & in all his providences towards us & others. Since especially we have offended that we seek reconciliation thro' his forgiving Mercy & also praise him for all his benefits confered on us.  I exhort says 1st Paul, therefore, that first of all supplications, prayers, intercessions, & giv.g of thanks be made for all men; for kings & for all that are in authority; - for this is good & acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour.
 2. Read.g - preach.g & hear.g the Word of God is a part of that religious Worship that God hath appointed. For how shall they believe on him, of whom they have not heard & how shall they hear without a preacher.  So faith cometh by hear.g & hear.g by the Word of God. God hath appointed the stated & regular attendance on his Word & ordinances as the way of obtain.g spiritual & sav.g knowledge. There he meets his worshippers & blesses them in his house of prayer. The Lord loveth? or coveth? the gates of Zion, where full assemblies meet to praise & pray & hear the Word, more than all the private dwelling, of Jacob.
