  I consider it of the utmost importance that we should procure oats for a charge of food for out horses. Men can be procured very readily from Denver of the Cache la fondu country.
  I hear that Capt. Dennis is getting along well toward Phil Kearney with the train of provisions. I can hardly expect him back before the 5th & 10th of May.
