I have often wished I was sure it was so, or that one of you could be with Lizzie all the time. Is Thomas pretty well and is Mary able to do all that Lizzie ought to have done for her? Where does Lizzie have her bed? When you write tell her we think much and often of her.

Anna seems better for a few days past. She has no tooth ache now. She tried the creosote and I made her a mustard poultice. One ore the other did her good. She is busy studying while I write one every now and the she looks up to see whether I am not almost through as she is getting sleepy.
She will probably write to you soon, till then don't send the furs. She does not need them yet, you must remember our winters are not nearly so cold as yours. Ask for what he thinks it would cost to send my books to me. We have thought some of sending to have Morgan Owens make us some shoes. Would it be a foolish plan. We can have a pair made here for $2.00 Tell mother that we keep very comfortably warm. I have not yet heard from Dr. Francis. Both sisters love you and wish you were here Jennie.
