I think I will have it made out in Mary's name - tho' she is only to have $10 of it - mother wished to pay her something for what she is doing for Cynthia and does not feel able to pay more now - $7. of the remainder I think belongs to Sis and $6 to Sara - and the other $8 I meant to send Sara towards what I am owing her. him last - Alick is not feeling very well but he does not confess as much - he goes to the market as usual. Ella is visiting at Clark's Mills - may make us a visit next week - Cousin Mary thinks she cannot at present leave home now to visit us - Mother will be disappointed I know and have her return with me. We are anxious to know how William and Cynthia are - hope they had a letter since I came from home How many have you in your family now and how many lodgers? Write soon We had a heavy rain yesterday and it is much cooler today - with love Jennie
