the second week in November. I expect and am prepared to hear, that the Judges of the Supreme Court, will sustain the decision of the Referee, they usualy do on principal; because a Referee, is always one of their own appointing. I am thoroughly hopeful and trustfull, as to the final and ultimate success of our great case; when it goes to be heard and argued, before the Court of Appeals. My case has been most wonderfuly and supernaturaly watched over and guarded, all through , and I place all my hope and confidence in Almighty God, and His Holy Angels, through devotions and prayers offered in His Holy Church and my own poor prayers. All the most important proofs and evidence after long months of research by Mr. Ruddly and Mr. Stevens, were never found, until I fullfilled certain devotions and prayers in church, in honor of, my own dear Guardian Angel. Our Fred was very sick from his carbuncle, and suffered terribly from the pain, and intense inflamation all through the arm. He had tremendous pluck and determination to play every night, as he did, for three weeks. I improved immensely, all the time, I was in the pure, braceing salt air of Staten Island; during the last month, we were there. I walked my four miles, every clear day. - New Brighton where we
