             The mail today brought me half a dozen papers, all attesting yr triumph.

I congratulate you with all my heart. You are in the right kind of a Co. & with the right kind of people for your future & if you keep yr health, I have no fears - You are bound to win fame & fortune if you work hard & take care of yourself. Maj Wm Smith - paymaster U.S.A left me today. He is an accomplished & agreeable gentleman, lives in St Paul & invited me to come & be his guest while you are in St P. He is a great friend of Maj. Schwan & wife who have been at St P. paying the South a visit, & your advent is expected
