heart disease, no doubt. Mr. Williams (ex-expressman) and David Jones (Delia Thomas' husband) have bought the business of S.E. John's. The Prichard family in our house are well but G. says everything in the cellar had frozen. We hope he is mistaken there--we did our best to protect what we left.

I do not know what made you think I had a cold--have had none to speak of all winter and not any since leaving home. Am sorry you have worried about me. Before I started I got new flannels for Anna and me--two sets each of wrappers and drawers and so have needed nothing more. We made me a cloth quilt (from old coats) or a skirt--with one thickness of wadding in the lower part--it is very pretty and very warm. We also made each of us a pair of flannel over drawers--your pattern--to come into the tops of our shoes and I am wearing mine in the house much of the time since coming here. Wonder if you are as well protected!
