  Another chance today & though I wrote on Friday & last Saturday, it will not do to let the opportunity pass. We cannot afford to lose any chance of dropping in for a little chat. It is cold here today! Fires are very comfortable. I hope it does not mean a snow storm with you! But perhaps it is warm & pleasant there. I hope so indeed. You have had your share of the cold this season. John said at breakfast this morning that he feared frost. He remembered frost here once on May 1st, hard enough to destroy the potatoes.
