He said that he had applied at the "Q" yards in the city, and had been told to call again The men both went to dinner and the operative did not hear any more of their conversation The operative judged from the way that these men spoke they were evidently trying to secure positions on the "Q" road for the purpose of committing depredations or find out what the Road was doing
