Chicago August 7th 1888

HB Stone Esq. Genl Manager C B&QRR Chicago

Dear Sir Following find report of Opr. J,C,Mc.G. dated at Chicago. July 31st 1888. Operatur reports that he left Chicago with Apr J.F.F. ad W.L.Brock for Texarkana Arkansas. for the purpose of delivering Brock over to the Sheriff and relieving his Bondsmen..Opr left Chicago at 9. p.m. via Wabash Rwy.

Wednesday. Aug 1st.. 1888 Opr arrived at St Louis at 7.25 a.m. and Continued EnRoute for Texarkana via Iron Jountain Route.

Thursday August. 2d" 1888 Opr arrived at Texarkana. at 720 a.m. and took Breakfast and met Sheriff Arr. Chief of Police Fur and Mr Thompson Agent for Pacific Express leo. Opr and Brock had Breakfast. Opr turned Brock over to the SHeriff who brought him to jail and locked him up. Sheriff or Brock afterwards sent for Opr Mc.G. and Mfr Thompson. and they went to gthe jail to see him. he wanted to know if there was no way of fixing it so he could get out and be kept on the outside. Opr Told him that he knew of no way and talked with him as did Mr Thompson for awhile and
