THURSDAY, OCTOBER 27, 1864. Went yesterday over to the old dock and built a large raft of plank from the dock and towed it to camp. Saw a deer on Savage Island. but did not get a shot at. Lt Custer came today instead of yesterday

FRIDAY 28 Went to Braddock's point with Lt Custer. Dr Mason came up yesterday and excused 2 sick of my company. Peter Davis, O Holmes. W Johnson. H McLane, I unclear & W Shother joined as recruits from depot

SATURDAY 29 Made out the Muster rolls. Francis A Howard & Joseph Armstrong joined from sick in Summit House Hospital
