the Fort Wayne were detailed to see the Fort Wayne firemen, engineers & switchmen Opr learned that the result of the conference was an agreement was to handle any Burlington Cars and that they would quit work before doing so. Opr also learned that the Burlington people notified the Fort Wayne that they were getting up a train they wanted them to take. The men say they will not handle it. There are about ten or twelve engineers on the Fort Wayne who are not Brotherhood men and the latter dont know whether these men will be with them or not

Opr talked to him for time and when they parted Tyler said he would go back to work. Opr then went to the Fort Wayne & Q roads and met a switchman at the house working at Harrison St for the Fort Wayne. When asked how the boys were he said that the regular men on the Switch engines were all right but the yard men were very weak. Opr then went up the track to 16th St. then back to Beck's saloon on Halsted St and met two striking switchmen One of them Named Tom Madden corroborated teh story told by Tyler. At Capt Kidd's place Opr met Billy O' Connell
