March 29" 1888 Today in Chicago Opr and stenographer attended the meeting at 14th & Jefferson St. It was called to order at 10 30 A.M. The first thing of any account reportedm was that Merrill the yard master at Streator Ill had quit and was coming to Chicago and later they found out that Putman a yard Master here (that had quit) was going to Streator to take his place. A yard master named Hall was to see Putman but what the result of Hall's interview with Putman was Opr did not know. The committee appointed to wait on Kelly and old man unclear: Carvey? reported that these men positively refused to quit work. Gleason of the K of L spoke for awhile but there was nothing new to be learned from it. He stated that seventy four K of L men were to come over the Fort Wayne and that the Company would side track these some where They agreed to send a committee out to wait on them.
