  "I left the Agency at 7 a.m. and proceeded to the vicinity of the Union Depot. During the day I made the acquaintance of James Gibson, a foreman who worked for the Missouri Pacific R.R. up to [cortheir] about two weeks ago. He is acquainted with a number of the strikers and tells me that some of them feel pretty downhearted and that they do not have much hope of [surviving] the strike. He says there is some talk amongst them to the effect that the boycott on "2" freight will [bepect] on again. It is the intenton to wait until the other roads are handling considerable freight then [chew] to tie it up on the other systems. I noticed during the day that there was not many of the strikers on Union Ave. Those who care about ap
