Whereas I have this day purchase of Simeon Whitely an undivided half of the East half of the North West quarter of section three two (unclear) form (4) s st Range 68, and whereas it is understood that said Whiteley has verbally agreed with Richard Whitsitt to convey to him ten acres from such part of said (unclear) as he the said Whiteley might designate, upon the said Whitsitt procuring and making out a relinquishment from parties holding claims in lots in said tract of land above described under the town (unclear) of the town of Devon, therefore it is understood that I am to join in the designation and conveyance of said ten acres
