Nov 25th 79- passed a good night & was up by sun up. 

 Clarke & I started about half an hour before the wagons - going up the river & about a mile from camp had the mournful satisfaction of seeing a fine flock of Turkeys coming out of a wood that we had not thought of hunting last night
 We went after them & by good strategy I managed to get a long shot
