at Sandy Creek. It was shown by the testimony that a very large number of ponies and mules, with many buffalo robes, and other property, were captured at the Indian Village, and that much of this property had not been duly accounted for, but had been appropriated by the officers and men of the command. Evidence was also introduced as to the equipment and supplying of the 1st Regiment Col. Vols. and the disposition made of its arms and equipments when mustered out of the service, but it is not deemed important to the purpose of this report to review these portions of the evidence.
