SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 1864 The 6th Corps. passed here going out towards the river, having 6 day rations

SUNDAY 28 The 1st Div. 3 a Corps passed out to the front this morning. Attended church in town. heard a first rate sermon by Rev. I W Bain from [Leamonstry?] on Isaiah 4 of 1st verse. Was discharged by S. C. war Dept. Feb 24th 1864

MONDAY 29 Are making preparations to go to Washington in the morning and report to Maj. Faster and as certain in reference to my appointment.
