Lt Hardin and his squad departed for Al Benton thu 13th inst

Shell of (unclear) comp arrived


September 15th 1876

Two Indians and Shell Cessina bonne chief arrived at the fort on the 13th inst stating their camps were on the Forts about twenty or thirty miles distant, and that they did not intend to move to the Fort for some time yet.

They were given a small feast and a few blankets, a small supply of provisions and returned to their camps on the 14 inst.

Messenger from Maj Hatch

September 18th 1876

A message sent by Major Hatch commanding the mounted police and part of Cypress Hills arrived in charge of two Half Breed scouts, from Lavalle being the principle, their afternoon. The purpose of the message was that the Hastille Indians were assembling on the Little Porcupine at at point
