1863 Journal Continue October 7th,1863. Left St. Louis late in the evening on carrs to Rolla Missouri Oct 8th. Arrived in Rolla by day light. In the afternoon went on scout to South west and[unclear] the same evening camped at Little Piney. Oct 9th. We camped two miles beyond Waynesville. Oct 10th, 11th. Arrived Lebenon on the night of 11th. We stayed all night at Lebenon Oct 12th. The evening came for us to march to Linn Creek though it was pretty late.
