20. the 27. It rained very fast, travelled in the rain all day. Came out about 25 miles. the 28. Rain continued. Came to a place where white people now begin to settle, & arrived at George Croghans in Pennsburg about an hour after dark. Came about 35 miles this day, but we left our baggage behind. the 29 & 30. I rested myself at George Croghans. In the mean time our baggage was sent for, which arrived. the first of October. Reached the heads of Tulpehoccon the second. I arrived safe at my house.
