places which we believed to be Harney directly in our front - After immense difficulty & fatigue succeeded in gaining the base of the perpendicular rock of the most southern of the Peaks. Trout rushed up on foot, but I preferred trying the other which appeared higher, & up which I could unclear - At last I reached the top to find myself at least 100 feet higher than Trouts peak. Although it was cloudy - unclear raining
