ever may transpire - Jenney has been very ill-natured to Bourke & some of the other officers today & accused Custer of having "salted" the gold digging here. The more I see of him the more I am satisfied that his report on the general purport of it was decided upon before he ever came on the expedition - It seems almost impossible for a man to have anything whatever to do
