"Even when we were dead in trespasses and sins, hath quickened us together with Christ." unclear. II, 5. I think that when Christ said to unbelievers "Because ye will not come," He intimates that their natural hearts will not let them come; that, left to themselves, they will choose evil rather than good, else how can we reconcile unclear. 11, 44 and like Scriptures with the latter assertion? Therefore, if our Pastor means to assert that men must come to God of their own volition, untouched first by the Spirit of God, I think his doctrine is wrong, or else why should we pray for the influence of the Holy Ghost in the conversion of sinners, if we can prevail upon man to come to Christ of his own free will.
