About 3 miles from camp crossed Warren trail at a spring at which e camped (No 13) - a mile further on we got onto a magnificent plain bare of timber & extending to the north'west as far as we could see - It was about four miles across on the trail we came almost perfectly level - The topographical features presented here are remarkable Behind us the long slopes
