27th Started with Adv gd. 5:30 am - Camp broke at 545 - Followed Mix Trail to the great disgust of Joe Menivale who wanted to experiment? with me & Comd on divide - I knew both & took trail. Excellent route to Rawhide Butte - Then some pretty rough ravines were crossed - As soon as I had fairly turned the Butte I struck north
