Wed. Feb 16" cold very. got up at 4:30 p.m. went to see Mrs. Watt, Mrs. Bath, Mrs. Warnock on C.E. Union Thurs. 17 Growing warmer. a.m. to E.M.S. to see Miss Sears See Mrs. Fred Warnock on C.E. business. Eve. saw Misses Smith & Haines after prayer meeting. Father worse in eve. Rain most of night. Fri. 19 a.m. called on Mrs. Watt, Mrs. Bath and Geo. Philpott on C.E. business Father worse at noon. Chas. has lain on little bed in Father's room last few nights, and been up with me a great deal. Sat. 19 Feb. 1898 Father passed away at 1:30 this a.m. Chas. Marion Nette. Harold and I were with him. He was partly unconscious much of time for days before, as result of opiates given on account of the pain. Death seemed to be gradual, lack of breath. Threw his arms around Charlies neck repeatedly. I went for Snearer immediately. Harold & I went to Telegraph Office sent messages to Jno. Harl & Wilder. Charley is very much used up Ike went to Oberlin in morning and soon came back with Annie and Azzie and Mayo.
