1898 Jan. we were at dinner (scalloped oysters. and mince & apple pie with whipped cream. pie brot over by A & A. nuts & candy furnished by Jo.) Quartette at Foley's before dinner. Hubert Day to see Father. A & A. etc. back to O on 3 p.m. car. I called on Beckers and Tite. Gates Gardner to supper. Sat up with Father 1st part of night. Baby Marion is a picnic. Father had to use Catheter every hour Sunday Jan. 2. 1898 Cold. very. 12 boys at S.S. Roy, Miss Sears, & I to Lake Ave. I wore 2 overcoats, overshoes, big cap. 20 present. Dr. here. washed out Father's bladder. C.E. Consecration Meeting. Quartette sang at 2nd Cong. Church "Pastor's Welcome." Up with Father till 12. Then bed till 8. Mon. 3 Warmer. Jo. back to O. Staid with Father while Chas. slept. Cleaned out Right's stall. Net Eli & Marion to Prayer mtg I sat up with Father first part of night Tues. 4 a.m. warmer. Took Right to bull. Stayed w. father 9-12 a.m. Chas slept p.m. Chas. went hauling manure from Day's barn with Geo. I stayed with Father. [In margin] Right N.B.
