to fair in p.m. Fri. Sept. 24. 1897 fair a.m. pick over potatoes. Then to hill lot Eli & I dig potatoes. Ike Keyes & Nelson pick beans. p.m. Eli & I put up the blinds that had been painted by Jo & Eli. Then saw wood in grove. At 4 oclock we all went over to the fair. Eve. Lincoln Club Sat. 25 in a.m. began cutting wood in grove when Geo. sent for us to come up & help him hauling seed-clover. Eli & I helped him rest of day & Stocked 3 loads & left 1 small load on wagon. paid me 75 Eli & I went in swimming in eve, water cold. Roy & Birt Darling called in eve. Sun 26. S.S. Assoc. Day. warmer. Male Quartette at Church. S.S. Mrs. Griswold led Jail meetg. Union Mtg of Lake Ave. and River Road S.S. at latter. Assoc. Day exercises. Address by Marion. Cadmus led C.E. Consec. mtg. Fine Sermon in eve. Mon 27 fair. a.m. helped Geo, finish out clover stack sharpened feed cutter. p.m. Reisinger came to see cow Did some Co. S.S.
