I had made up my mind almost not to send the letter I had written, or to write any more such as you & I have been in the habit of writing. The fact is you are getting me into bad habits; I have not realized it enough: but this thinking so much as you do is not right: to be sure I have not much to reproach myself with in the matter; but then I sadly fear that I am forming bad habits in that respect, even I. Cassius you remember was lean with thinking; and I am strongly inclined to believe that no one can think much & be comfortable, happy & healthy in the world as I am in the habit of being.
