Dear Brother
It is but a day or two since I mailed a letter to you, from Brunswick. Perhaps there may seem no special need of writing again, quite so soon; perhaps even before you have received the other, but, however, it will mention to you a reason or two, inducing me to take such a step. First then - I remitted to you, on Thursday last, arriving in Bangor Friday probably. the enormous sum of $25.00. all in Cash, that is, rags, purporting to be worth that amount, being stamped as bills on the Framingham Bank, & some Bangor Bond. I need not, perhaps, have been so explicit in stating this fact, as it is probable that you are already aware of it, - but - it has occurred to me since forwarding the aforesaid letter, that I omitted to direct it, as by you requested, to the care of Messrs Goss & Upham, of 45 West Market Square Bangor; - and also - quite as careless a mistake, by the way, I had no recollection of making mention at all in the letter that it contained money, at all, certainly not of the amount thereof......
