If I stay out I can earn $60.00 and be ready to commence a winter school about 4 weeks before our fall term here closes, so as to teach a school of three months before Spring term commences. Should probably clear some $100.00 or more, before next term commences. On the other hand my expenses here are going on if I am absent some 12 or 15 dolls besides, if here I might probably earn some 8 or 10 dolls extra. Last term I earned here in one way & another about $14.00. This term I shall some 15. or 16 dolls. Next term I probably might nearly pay my board & Soc. bills leaving only term bill some 15, or 20 dolls.

 I do hate wretchedly to stay out, it seems a pity if I do go to College, & it costs some money & time both! to lose its advantages, any of them, especially a very important term like this. Still others stay out; many others, without better chances than this, not needing money any more than I do. One can do it and get along pretty comfortably, maintain a pretty good stand in their class. I suppose I must & try.
 If I go to Turner, the worst is I can not go home, should not get home till next June at any rate, perhaps not till a year from this approaching vacation Sept. Spring Vacation is only two weeks. I want to go home bad, but I can stay away I suppose if necessary.
 If I was sure of just the right school for Winter, that is if I had one of four months, beginning the first of November so as to get through by beginning of Spring term, and 25, or ever 20,00 per month I would not look towards Turner. but's uncertain.
