Isaac Thurs, Eve. June 21, 1866 June 21, 1866 Dearest Nettie

I have just got home from the "Torpedo". To begin there was a heavy shower between 6 & 7. It stopped raining and looked bright in the west. 8 1/2 after the Children were all abed & asleep I though I would go down and see what there was.

In spite of the rain, the Hall was fully as full as comfortable in a warm evening. On one side, George & Martha Washington in the person & Mr. & Mrs. Gates, dressed to perfection, and really looking it very well, Nelso & Anna Mills as Old Quaker and daughter, and etc. etc. with black servants as "Continental Tea Party."

On the Stage alternate Tableaux & Music. Scenes from Ivanhoe. page is torn at both sides ? Moody & Mrs. Bronson (Miss Cooley ? as Rebecca & Rowena, & Kazz as Athelstane ? Scenes from Hiawatha. Nelly ? Minnehaha & Dr. Cushing as that ?? etc.
