Isaac Albany N.Y. Oct. 1863 Oct. 22nd 63 Albany, Thurs. Dearest We have not got to Boston today as expected. Came on nicely & hastily as far as Schenectady where before 4 oclock this morning we were stopped finding a Freight Train Off Track in the way. And waited there 6 hours before the wreck could be removed & track repaired. So we were too late here for both 5 & 9:30 A.M. Train wait over till 3:30 P.M. However We take it easy Both had a good nights rest last night. Today have walked the little fellow all around Albany, Statehouse, Court Room &c. &c. &c. State Agriculture & State Natural History Rooms &c. &c. Makes quite a day of sightseeing for him. Instead of getting to Boston before noon, we shall not until Midnight. But Charley can sleep in the cars some.
