Isaac, Brookville Penn. June 14 1855 Milo, June 25, 1855 Brookville, Jefferson Co. Penn. Thursday, June 14, 1855 My Dearest Why I have not written to you for a great while, since last Sabbath I guess. Yes I wrote on Sunday at Corwensville, Clearfield Co. and mailed the letter at Luthersburg on Monday. Well I got tired enough of a Sabbath at Corwensville--There was no meeting--the Town was full of the Susquehanna River Raftsmen, who were noisy etc. and after Dinner I took to the roads on foot, climbing the finest of hills covered with Locust Trees in full bloom, much of the way. I came to where there had been a meeting preaching by a Moravian, United unclear, meeting just through, & I wished I had started a little sooner. About that time it began to rain, and I stopped at a comfortable wayside Tavern. Monday 11th I walked on before the stage got along, through Luthersburg, and some 12 miles I guess. Finally the stage, and got here at night 3 days from Tyrone Tuesday & mist part of yesterday I spent in the woods walking all the time over the hills and through the Laurel swamps, and did not tire me much either. This Mountain air is very
