I wrote to you but a few days ago but I was going to tell you a little more about Isaac tho' I dont know much for he couldn't tell himself There seems to a quarrell with the Government about the R.R, or a waiting for a decision of the Supreme Court or something that stops their commencing work . I guess Isaac hardly knows what to do. He went to Maddison Wisconsin I suppose to see whether he didn't want to buy there he show'd me a Map of the place & pointed out some Lots which as he said he did not buy I suppose from the way he told it that he did almost conclude to buy there - it is the capital of the State you know & is or is to me the terminus of a ? or so of R. Roads - is but a few years old & has $000 inhabitants very healthy place etc. etc. etc. about the Latitude of Ohio. I am afraid I gave you wrong impressions about the Dr. by what I wrote about him in my last letter he is a person of very strong feelings & it is difficult for him to control himself when anything affects him very suddenly but he is a good man not only a perfect Gentleman that will not do anything unkind or anoying to anyone but he is one of the most perfect Christians that I know- not only very & truly polite but very right in every thing- he is in the Bank at 10 oclock & gets home at 4 in the afternoon he read loud to us more or less everyday - as for me I suspect I am in danger of passing for something more than I am for People have seem to think that Mrs. DeWitts mother must be somebody pretty smart and they have not had time to find out their mistake
