Dear Uncle & Aunt

Yours came to hand I was very glad to received it. Thanking you very much for your wishes for our dear Mary Elizabeth. My wife & Thomas say that she "taked after" you. Am happy to state that she ?nces? stay well. My Wife & Daughter thought to come up this summer but I think she will not come again, the Lady that was to accompany her has decided not to go. I should have been glad had it been so, for Uncle Robert and no one else is to babtize her - you babtized me - you married me - and y shall do the same with Mary Elizabeth. Am very sorry that I did not commence sooner to write as I can to "Cendadwr" Instead of bothering with these papers page torn..what I will as I can stall? her? ? "Cenadwr"
