  "Don Ulloa arrives with a detachment of Spanish troops & demands possession of the country, (?see from Lengs, 1765) but is resisted by the French inhabitants, on the ground that a transfer without their consent was unjust.   The Spaniards were compelled to return to the Havanah, without having accomplished their purpose."  Lengs Chr. 94
