the Chicago strikers, they had been very foolish to continue the strike and that it would be a year before half of those men would be able to obtain work and that if he was to come right out and declare the strike off they would accuse him of selling them out, as he had fought against he demand two years ago and again a year ago and now he would just stop here as long as they wanted him to. that he would ask again go back to railroading as he had had offers from there different insurance companies. Hoge rehearsed the strike from its commencement and related the result of the different meetings with the rail-road officials. No news of any importance today Hanrahan was not in today. At 5pm the room was closed and all hands left. Hoge was out the balance of the evening. Saturday June 10th/88 Hoge was not in the room to sleek last night and did not come in till 11:30a.m., he remained just long enough to read over the mail. Charley Touelisonbest guess was with him, they then went to same engineer's house for dinner where Hoge's little girl went to visit yesterday. No person else was in the room during the day or evening
