Charles had given up we expect Mr. Ricjer to move into the house with Almeda this winter and onto her lot in the Spring.

Mr. Wyman is going to Mass. to live with his Father Mr. Daniel Hamlin has bought Sam'l W. Furbers Farm I believe I told you before that Mr. Kittredge has bought this Town. Charles & several others have been today to look for the best place to build a bridge across pleasant River Mr. C.A. Everett has built him a very handsome house near Mr. Wymans on the Pleasant river road has Married Angella Dennett - his Father & Mother live wit them Angella has seemed to be very much engag'd in the subject of religion all summer I guess she makes one very nice woman.
Lucy has not been home yet since she was married I am I dont know but- wickedly impatient sometimes about it It is as if I had hardly seen her at all - when I got to her house in Boston I was very much fatigued & Mehitable was ther all the time. How do you like S.W.F. I think he is a Strong Smart good natured rather intelligent man - but "between you and I,, each of my children that have got married have descended Some would not think it - perhaps in the last case perhaps shall not by & by perhaps I ought not to say this Dont express it tis my vanity & weakness? but I do now think that L. is his superior certainly in some respects and isn't she as a whole.
Mrs. Gilman is living yet 4 months since she has been mov'd many people have been there determin'd that it could & should be done and went away satisfied that is was not best so they say. Do write often I dont hear much from the children at Bangor Eliab never writes Lucy very seldom Joseph as you know when he has business we rather expected them home at thanksgiving the house seems lonely?
