Chicago, Aug 15th 1888 H.B. Stone Esq Gen'l. Mgr. C.B. & L.R.R. City Dear Sir: Following you will please find report of Asst. Supt. J.C. May for Aug. 12th & 13th. Sunday, Aug 12th 1888 Today in Chicago Ass't Supt. J.C. May went to #87 W. Ohio St. and saw J.C. Carderholunbest guess and arranged through him for the payment of monies to J.J. Kelly, He is to pay Kelly twenty five dollars every two weeks. J.C. May returned to 5th Ave. & arranged a meeting with Opr. No 2 and met him this afternoon & instructed him further as to what was wanted of him. Monday Aug 13th 1888 J.C. May reports that he met this morning thru the Oprs. engaged on work for the C.B. & L. & instructed them in regard to the inquiries to be made from the parties they are working on about 4:30pm. he met Opr.
