I felt very anxious about Eliab after hearing of his sickness and do still, though a letter received a day or two since informed me he is most well, I think there is great reason to fear that he will have permanent weakness of the back and that he cannot be too careful of himself, for a few years at least; I think he must study too hard, his progress in French, is quite remarkable compared with my classes.
