I went to the white front saloon where I met Peter Treeson, he told me that R. MArtin and R. Lacy arrived in town last night and would be at the hall this morning, He left the saloon at 9.30 A.M. and went to the hall. Later I met Chas. Maul + Thos Riley, we visited Flynn's and Buchwald's saloons + I went to the White Elephant saloon at 10.45 A.M. with Thos. RIley and met Thos. McKinley + John Cain there, they told us that they had just came from the Hall + McKinley said Martin spoke and gave the boys and idea of what the Committee of nine had done, he instructed the men to keep their mouths closed and say nothing about the new men or Q officals McKinely + Cain both say they will stand a poor show on account of talking too much. I remained at the White Elephant saloon
