Chicago, Nov 9th 1888 H.B. Stone Esq. Gen'l Mgr. C.B.+2. R.R. City, Dear Sir, unclear reports as follows; Tuesday, Nov. 6th 1888 Today in Galesburg at 9 a.m. I went to the fourth Ward school house with Ed. Rogers ad we met several strikers there, we voted and Rogers + I then went to the hall where we met Nels unclear, H. Higber + Sam Lowe and they talked politics, Bumeson left shortly after saying he was going to make a tour of the polls, Rogers told me that all of the boys are working hard for Bumeson, we went to 221 Main St. + I treated them to the cigars and we then visited the voting places in the First + second Wards. At 10.45 A.M. we went to the Fourth Ward where a great number of strikers had congregated, they talked nothing but politics. somebody had posted the City with posters
