We went to the Fair grounds + Diffenbald bought the tickets for the Fair. Diffenbald went back to Galesburg at 3 P.M. on a freight. At 6 P.M. I and Brennen + Strauburg went to the hotel at Avon and got supper At 10.30 P.M. I and Strauburg took a train back to Galesburg where we arrivedat 11.15 P.M. and went to Clifton Hotel + retired. Newell and Joe unclear there. unclear told Strauburg that the hall over Wright's laundry was nearly finished and would be occupied by the first of next week, they pay $12.00 a week for the use Foote's Hall. unclear came up and told us that he had been painting his house and laid off today thinking it would rain.
