I went to the hall with Chas Strauburg, we met P. Brennan and [[unclear] Swanson there. I asked Swanson if the Brotherhood of brakemen had taken up his case of being discharged by the Company yet + he replied that they would not take his case up, and he does not care, he said he was going to leave town in a few days, we took a walk to Gardts saloon, I treated them to the drinks, they spoke about the prospects of a strike on the Nabash road at St. Louis, we went to Moore's saloon and played several games of pool, we then went to the Clifton House. Strauburg made his appearance at 11 A.M. he told me there was no news except that the Brotherhood men at St. Louis refuse to have anything to do with the C.B.+2. men, there may be a strike on the Nabash road. At 1.30 P.M. we took a walk up Main St. to the Square and
