Saturday July 21st 1888

Opr was with Mr Daws Collier and Rice for some time this am and then went to the Harrison Police Station the hearing of Bauerisen Case. After waiting an hour the justice continued the hearing until ?pm at which time the Case was called and the Evidence given in the case. Mr Collier thought at one time that he would use Mulligan so Opr sent a man and held him outside so he would be ready in case he wanted but after Bowles and Smith gave their Testimony it was decided not to call him they finished about 5:20pm and Bauerisen was held under 3 hundred dollars bail to the Grand Jury Bowles pleaded with Mr Daws to let Barchard take him out to his house to-night and remain over Sunday and by instructions from Mr Daws. Opr gave Barchard $10.00 to pay for keeping Bowles over Saturday and Sunday. Respectfully Submitted Pinkertons National Det. Agcy per Wm Pinkerton Genl Supr Western Div
