Most of the wounded of our Regiment are doing well. Wyant, and Stillwell have returned to the Company, the latter's wrist is still quite sore. I saw Stanton yesterday. He wants to come but the Surgeon will not let him for he says that he can get his wound well in half the time that it would if he were here. I attended the Protestant Episcopal Church this morning, where I heard a good Sermon, and the best music I ever heard inside a Church. I was struck with the difference in the people here, and at New Iberia, here the devotion was sutable to a Church they joined in the prayer for our Country, and for our President with out any such outward demonstrations as were enacted
