Whereas dissatisfaction at some of the public laws of the nation has been manifested in the proceedings of certain individuals who did call meetings at Eh,la,chay,e Town for the object of supporting the views of their party, in consequence of which various reports have been circulated throughout the country calculated to produce party feelings injurious to the public welfare.

    And in order that a correct view of the intentions of those who appeared to be dissatisfied might be ascertained and the division of sentiments removed, and tranquillity restored among the people.
    The General Council is convened,
                Be it therefore remembered that the dissatisfied party has this day appeared before the General Council, and after appointing a Committee of conference, the Subject was discussed, which resulted satisfactorily in form of the Public Laws of the Nation.
               It is therefore Resolved by the undersigned & that harmony and unanimity be strongly recommended to the people in supporting the public laws of the nation, and that all meetings of opposition be discouraged & the proper authorities rigidly supported in the suppression of faction & rebellion, and if any of the laws should be considered unwholesome, it shall be the duty & privilege of those wishing amendments respectfully to petition the General Council of the Nation and to instruct their immediate representations on the Subject. 
             As a Testimonial of our sincerity & loyalty to the legitimate Authorities of the Nation, we have in Generasigned our hands and l Council at Echota this 30th day of June 1827, signed our hands and seals and furthermore do solemnly pledge ourselves to desist from any such like proceedings
