Vacation is passing rapidly and pleasantly only think six more weeks and we enter a few field of duty, new acquaintances to be made. I do not anticipate it. I do not think I am the right one to change friends so often. My Zanesville friends are as dear to me to-day as they were the day I left them. And I know it will be so of my Elyria friends, Mrs. Metcalf not the least. And is she willing with all her cares to writ occasionally to me. Not that there is any danger of my forgetting her. But t'would be pleasant to have that proof. One of the most precious boons God has given me - of her remembrance I offer no inducements as a correspondent. There are some things I can do - others I cannot, - among them, write interesting letters. So that my request is partly from selfish motives. Anything connected with E. will be interesting even if you do not leave the Metcalf family. I'd like to see every one of them, from the "good mean of the house" to the little new one. A good wish
